Tiburon HVAC serves three places: Tiburon, Belvedere and Mill Valley, in southern Marin County. Our office is at 1690 Tiburon Blvd, and we have worked in these towns since 2002. Every service we offer, from heating repair to mini-split installation, is available in all three.
Why we keep to three towns
Short drives. Jobs that are a short drive apart keep appointment windows tight and get a technician to a no-heat call sooner. Same-day service is available, with no overtime charges, and urgent problems are answered 24/7.
Knowing the houses. We see the same kinds of homes every week: older cottages and large hillside and waterfront houses on the peninsula, and older homes on steep, shaded lots in Mill Valley. The technician has usually met your type of system before.
Two climates, three towns
Tiburon and Belvedere sit on a peninsula in the bay. The weather is mild, windy and often foggy, and salt air corrodes outdoor coils, fins and cabinets faster than it would inland. Hot days are few, so heating matters more than cooling, but rooms with large west-facing windows can overheat on sunny afternoons.
Mill Valley sits at the foot of Mount Tamalpais. Homes under the redwoods and on steep, shaded lots stay cool and damp, and the heat runs most of the year, while sunnier spots get warm afternoons. Many houses date from the early 1900s to the 1960s, with ducts in the crawlspace and little room for new equipment, so ductless mini-splits and heat pumps are common upgrades.
